Speed Racer

Speed Racer, also known as Gō Mifune in the original Japanese series, is the titular protagonist of the Speed Racer franchise.

Born into a family of auto racing enthusiasts, Speed is the son of Pops Racer, a car designer and former wrestler. He is also the brother of Spritle and a mysterious older brother, Rex Racer, who initially leaves home and is believed to be dead, but later reappears as the masked Racer X.

Speed is a highly skilled and daring race car driver known for his exceptional reflexes and unwavering determination. He pilots the Mach Five, a technologically advanced race car designed by his father, equipped with various gadgets like jump jacks, tire shields, and auto jacks, allowing him to overcome obstacles on the track.

He is typically accompanied by his younger brother Spritle and their pet chimpanzee, Chim-Chim, who often provide comedic relief and sometimes inadvertently assist in Speed's races. Speed is also supported by his girlfriend, Trixie, who pilots a helicopter and provides aerial support and tactical information during races.

Driven by a strong sense of justice and a passion for racing, Speed is a dedicated competitor who consistently strives to win fair and square, battling against corrupt opponents and criminal organizations who try to sabotage his races.
